I'm thinking maybe these people were out or were unable to get to their pets because someone that grateful to have their animal back wouldn't just abandon them, right?
I would do my best to save my pets but I am human and have limitations. I would be devastated to lose any of them, they're part of my family ♥

I know that people prioritize safety but I would do everything to get all my dogs with me and be transferred to a safe place. If they don't go then I won't.

To all the people asking why even leave your pets? I doubt any thing like this has ever happened to you! And if it did you would know that animals hide when shit hits the fan. And you can ether spend hours looking for the little bastardized and die in the process or you can get your ass out of their and pray they make it.

i remember seeing one time live on TV right after a major storm a few counties over from me, some woman was in front of the cameras saying she lost her dog, and i kid you not 5 seconds later the reporter pointed at a pile of rubble and said "it's the dog!" and there the dog was, poking his little head out from a small space between the rubble. he apperared to be perfectly ok. and right there on camera the woman started crying as she ran over to grab him. it was crazy.

Typical. . The woman cant control their emotions. And that gay guy in red doesn't count for the men. We all know the gays have the same trouble as woman with emotions.

I just can not understand why these people left their pets behind in the first place.

A couple of years ago my dog broke free of his leash and got scared by a couple cyclists. I spend the whole day and night searching only to come home at 4:30 in the morning with my dog sitting in front of my house all dirty and wet. That was one of the happiest moments of my life.
